Walk with Tony Wagner and his family   

Light the Night Walk

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk is a nationwide evening walk to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer. Participants raising a minimum of $25, carry an illuminated balloon along the walk. Together, the illuminated balloons help to "light the night" as participants join the fight against blood cancers.

SWEM baskets  2009 - Collection - Nov 23 - Dec 6; Basket Assembly - Dec 6; Basket Delivery - Dec 13

– Late Nov – Early Dec – Collection, packaging and delivering of food to SWEM (South West Ecumenical Ministries) for Christmas meals for needy families.

Soup Kitchen   2010 - February 17 9:30 - 1:30

– During Spring or Easter Break – Youth serve at local Soup Kitchen special projects, preparing meals, serving meals and clean up.

Way of the Cross  2010  - Practices - Feb 21, 28, March 7,14,21,28 - Church  Performance - March 31, 6:45 p.m.,   Soup Supper - 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.

– performance of the Stations of the Cross.  Performance involves ~6 weeks practice (during Sunday night meeting time).  Performance prior to Holy week. 

 

Liturgical Ministries

Vacation Bible School - 5 day program in July contains a daily skit that requires several “actors”.  The program also  offers opportunities for youth to teach or assist in classroom, arts & crafts, music, and outdoor activities. 

 

St. Pius Fair – Youth work at several booths in “KiddieLand” at the Fair.  In addition, opportunities to help with fair set up and clean up also exist.
